Title: Air Temperature for 4 LTTG sites, digitized from thermograph weather charts: Hourly Data; 1968-1989
Contacts: Yarie, John
Quintal, Timothy
Oliver, Lola
Abstract: Data is from weather stations. Pre- 5/89 data is all from thermographs of various makes (Bendix, Belfort, and Casella). Temperatures were digitized on a CalComp drawing board using software developed by Robert E. Schlentner (Forest Soils Lab, U. of Ak.). Program reads automatically at each hour's "distance" on the chart and allows for the specific curvature of the plot due to pen sweep. Post 5/89 data is from Omnidata easy logger data loggers replaced these thermographs in 1989. The data logger data is also available (see eloga.dfd, elogd.dfd and elogs.dfd).
