Abstract:	This dataset contains soil organic layer depth measurements collected in July 2009 from the 1994 Hajdukovich Creek Burn.
Methods:	FIELD: Measurements were carried out during July-August of 2009. Withing the HC94 burn sampling was carried out in sites that encompassed a range of post-fire organic layer depths. In each site a visually homogenous 50m X 100m area was selected for sampling. From the center of the homogenous area a 50m baseline transect was established. Three 50m transects were set up perpendicular to and at random distances along the baseline transect. The ten 1 X 1 m sampling plots were located at random distances along and at a random distance from the baseline transect. Organic layer depth (cm) was measured on a 20cm X 20cm block of soil excavated 1 - 2 m away from the sampling plot with a flat bladed shovel, after removing leaf litter from the surface.
